Correspondence
Jemima Bleek's letter to her sisters Fanny and Lucy Lloyd, dated 6 July 1869 from Bonn. Her letter is a "resume" of the fortnight since her previous letter, covering their time spent in England before leaving and since arriving in Bonn. Jemima describes being visited by and visiting many English friends and relations, including her aunts and Old Mr Woolley. She also details Wilhelm's activities making connections and promoting interest in his work (and seeing Sir George Grey). Jemima also describes her struggle with tiredness, face pain and packing for their Bonn trip. On 7 July in Bonn, Jemima receives a telegram that Julia Lloyd ("July") is very ill. She and Wilhelm may travel to Berlin if news arrives of Julia's condition worsening.
