An envelope inscribed by Fanny Lloyd, having contained Lucy Lloyd's letter dated 15 October 1862 and a newspaper clipping describing the wreck of the Waldensian mail steamer (13 October 1862) - upon which Lucy had been travelling to the Cape from Natal. The envelope and its contents were intended for "dear Doris & Helma & Harry".
