Copy of Lucy Lloyd's response, dated 24 November 1912, to the official announcement from the Council of the University of the Cape of Good Hope regarding its decision to offer her the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Literature; also its invitation to attend the graduation ceremony. Lloyd writes to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Walker, and the Registrar, Professor Thompson, thanking them for the honour they wish to bestow upon her - she had been too ill to write sooner. She informs them that she will attend the gaduation ceremony if her health permits.
