L3.180 from DF Bleek to CM Doke (04 September 1940)
Correspondence
A letter from Dorothea Bleek, 4 September 1940, in response to one from Professor Clement M Doke of 26 August. Dorothea writes of her "preparation of a dictionary of all Bushman languages and dialects". She has completed the words with a "lip click" and almost finished with the non-click words. However, she has been forced to put aside "valuable" unpublished texts by her father and aunt so that she can complete the dictionary. She hopes the Inter-University Committee will help her raise funds to print the dictionary when it is complete.
