Correspondence
A letter from Wilhelm to Jemima, sent from Cape Town on 29 September, 1868. Wilhelm writes to Jemima, who is in Kalk Bay, presumably with her sister Fanny. Lucy will join them the next day, having been delayed by rain. Wilhelm reports that his cousin Ernst Haeckel's letter arrived informing him that Wilhelm's origin of language book has been published; he includes some of Haeckel's comments on the topic of origins. Haeckel has also sent Wilhelm his own pamphlet on the origins of humankind.
