Bleek returns to the Prussian-Austrian war, relaying the Kaffraria's (the SS Kaffraria?) updates on the war's progress. The Austrians have driven back the Italians, but not the Prussians. Notably, the Prussians captured Münchengrätz. He goes on to plot the movements of military and political leaders across continental Europe in relation to various sites of siege, battle, surrender, and occupation. Lastly, he remarks on the Tyrolese's allegiance to Austria's emperor (Franz Joseph I) and highlights the exploits of Enrico Cialdini and Giuseppe Garibaldi.
