Description
Die Kleinspan (lit. The Little Ones), an Afrikaans-language periodical starting in 1925 and rebranding in 1935, was a historical supplement to Naspers' Huisgenoot that started as a loose leaf or column for younger readers. It was among the first notable attempts to get Afrikaans children reading and in 1936 developed into the independent children's magazine Die Jongspan.
