Description

An ±A6 punch-marked slip with 'Valltorta Gorge near Castell[ó]n de la Plana' written in pencil.

Keyword

Valltorta Gorge (near Castellón de la Plana)

Notes

The (research?) slip names the location of a post-Paleolithic/Mesolithic rock art site in Castellón, Spain. Dorothea Bleek notably wrote that the only rock art sites with examples comparable to Bushman rock art, in terms of imagination and spectacle, were those in southern France (and perhaps Spain?).
