George Stow's original handwritten caption is visible. Page is numbered '28' in pencil. Typewritten caption: 'Colours: Bucks chocolate and white; shading has been reversed by Stow, the upper buck should be the light, the lower dark; spots pale pinky chocolate; elephant hunt white. Reduced to 1/25. Locality: Rock on the Lower Invani, near Camps Siding between Queenstown and Cathcart. Compare Plate 12 of book. See. Half of the elephant has fallen away.'
