Typewritten caption: 'Colours: Symbol black background, then white, bright red in centre upper figures dark red and black, white by one head; lower figures dark red and pink, the latter colour is hardly visible in the photograph. Reduced to 1/25. Localities: Symbol from rockshelter in branch of valley of the Knoffel Spruit, on farm Excelsior, Rouxville District, O.F.S. (so marked on rough copy). First locality visited, compare Plate 33 of book, symbol seem. Second locality not visited. Compare Plate 70 of book.' Additional text: 'BC1515 J1.1.25'.
