A German typescript (facsimile) of a foreword by Dorothea Bleek dated June 1935. Alfred Schachtzabel was a member of the curatorial staff at the Berlin Museum for Ethnology's African department, and both are mentioned in the text (Einstein, 2019: 355). In 1924, he would succeed Bernhard Ankermann as curator. This foreword may be connected to Käthe Woldmann's German translation of 'Specimens of Bushman folklore' (1911), titled 'Das wahre Gesicht des Buschmannes in seinen Mythen und Märchen' (1938), published by Zbinden & Hügin of Basel.
