An early twentieth-century newspaper scrap from an unknown periodical.
Prehistoric cave drawings (in the South of France), South of France (cave drawings there strongly resemble Bushman pictures), Bushman (were undeveloped but had gifts of imagination and love of music)
The fragment appears to speak to parallels drawn between 'cave drawings [in the] South of France' and Bushman pictures -- submitting that their 'figures of men' (full sentence lost) share a strong resemblance (?). It goes on to say that 'perhaps the Bushmen are the [...] of a race once inhabiting th[e] greater part of this hemisphere [...] small, undeveloped people, yet with gifts of imagination and love of music and [...]'. The rest of the fragment's text is missing or too damaged to approximate (other newspaper fragments appear with D3.4.1).
